 QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Must be a holder of business-related degree from a recognized university.
  2. C+ (Plus) and above in K.C.S.E.
  3. Master’s Degree in a business related field will be an added advantage.
  4. Acceptable and proven skills in entrepreneurial & financial management.
  5. Professional proficiency in data analytics using banking / Sacco systems.

The branch manager will hold the overall responsibility of the branch in its operations, strategies, Business growth and Development, and management of employees and customers

WORK EXPERIENCE

At least 3 years’ work experience in SACCOs/ Microfinance with at least 2 years in middle management level in the following areas:

Exposure to Branch Operations, Credit Management and Business Development.

SKILLS REQUIRED

  1. Passion and commitment to quality service performance.
  2. Ability to work/communicate with various customer segments such as business persons and employed professionals.
  3. Excellent leadership and management skills.
  4. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  5. Ability to prioritize tasks and delegating when appropriate.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. To plan, organize and co-ordinate activities in the Branch and ensure efficient operations and service delivery to members.
  2. Ensure proper operational procedures, policies and guidelines are adhered to.
  3. Supervise the preparation of daily and monthly reconciliations, monthly and quarterly financial reports on savings, loans, portfolio at risk, liquidity levels and proper actioning.
  4. To grow the Branch membership as per the set annual targets.
  5. To ensure retention of the branch membership every year as per the Sacco business plan.
  6. To carry out aggressive marketing to institutions and individual members.
  7. To ensure consistent and steady uptake of Sacco products and services by the Sacco members.
  8. To grow the Branch loan book as per the set annual targets as well as maintain a healthy loan portfolio.
  9. Ensure internal controls and procedures are strictly followed.
  10. To enhance full branch staff productivity through performance and talent management.
  11. Ensure safe custody of all valuable documents and items at the branch
  12. Management of staff in areas of supervision, training, coaching, health & safety, Discipline & dissemination of Sacco policies.
  13. Develop & maintain effective communication skill with branch staff.
  14. Any other duty assigned by the Supervisor from time to time.
