Reporting to the Operations Officer

The Successful candidates will be responsible for efficient administration of the loan awarding process, Loan portfolio management and generation of related management reports in accordance with the SACCO Credit Policy.

Roles & Responsibilities

  1. Implementation of sound policies, strategies and systems that will ensure effective and efficient execution of lending and repayment of loan functions in the Sacco.
  2. Marketing of Sacco loans and savings products to ensure business continuity.
  3. Appraise, review & evaluate loans applications in accordance with Sacco Credit Policy.
  4. Continuously monitor and accurately report on the performance of all loan categories to ensure quality Loan book is maintained.
  5. Ensure adherence to timely repayment schedules and promptly initiate recovery procedures.
  6. Facilitate security perfection of all collateral based loans.
  7. Maintain a Loan portfolio with a PAR of below 5%.
  8. Prepare CRB listing notifications and prompt listing of delinquent loans.
  9. Dealing with all inquiries from members on their loan statements through phone calls , mails and any other appropriate mode.
  10. Any other lawful duty as may be assigned from time to time by the supervisor.

Qualifications

  1. Holder of Diploma in Credit Management / Cooperative Management or Banking from a recognized institution. A Bachelor’s degree in any of a business related field will be an added advantage.
  2. C (Plain) and above in K.C.S.E.
  3. Computer literacy with skills in Microsoft office suite coupled with ability to do data analysis with the relevant applications.

Experience

  1. At least 2 Years’ experience working in a credit field preferably in a Sacco, Microfinance or Bank
